Primary Science Quality Mark

Jan 2016.

This year Science @ Bromesberrow will be a big focus in our teaching and the children's learning. As a school we are working towards the Silver award in the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM). There are lots of criteria that we will need to meet and Mrs Carpenter, as science co-ordinator,  will be ensuring that we meet these criteria and have plenty of evidence.

The children will be heavily involved in planning, analysing and evaluating science investigations. We will be starting the new term with a week of investigations that excite and engage the children.

A new after school science club, led by Mrs Carpenter, will be starting. More on this to follow.

In March we will be having a Science Fair, led by the children and giving you opportunity to see what they have been doing. More on this to follow.

Each week we will choose a Bromesberrow Scientist who will bring home a science learning pack. There are lots of investigations that can be undertaken just using items in your kitchen. We want them to write about what they have done, including some photos or pictures and we will be sharing this in assembly.

We hope that you will support us in this venture. Mrs Carpenter will keep you all updated, via the school Facebook page.
