Headteacher, Sue Thornley and her team extends a warm welcome to all current and prospective parents and their children. We are a small, friendly school, who pride ourselves on our ‘bespoke’ education, where each child is valued and recognised as an individual. Our vision is ‘excellence in all, for all’ and we are passionate and ambitious for our children, academically, spiritually and socially.
We are extremely well equipped with small class sizes (approx. 20 children in each class), with full time (NVQ 3 qualified and experienced) teaching assistants in each class. Our Curriculum is creative, but rigorous, with plenty of enrichment opportunities, trips and afterschool clubs.
We have strong links with the church and celebrate key events throughout the year at the wonderful Church of St. Mary's. These are times of collective worship and celebration, where parents, friends and members of the community are invited to join us.
As part of our Christian ethos, we have agreed upon and embedded core Values into our curriculum. These are based upon the key qualities we feel will help our children to achieve educationally and personally. Our Values were decided upon in consultation with the whole school community. Our Values star is visible throughout the school:
